Mother – Blessing? Cursing?


I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, God gave me the following verses in the context of “Mother” from Genesis till Revelation, from The Holy Bible.

Gen 3:20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve;
because she was the mother of all living.

Gen 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her:
yea, I will bless her,
and she shall be a mother of nations;
kings of people shall be of her.

Gen 21:21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran:
and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.

Gen 24:53 And the servant brought forth jewels of silver,
and jewels of gold, and raiment,
and gave them to Rebekah:
he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.

Gen 24:55 And her brother and her mother said,
Let the damsel abide with us a few days,
at the least ten; after that she shall go.

Gen 24:60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her,
Thou art our sister,
be thou the mother of thousands of millions,
and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

Gen 24:67 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent,
and took Rebekah,
and she became his wife;

and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.

Gen 27:13 And his mother said unto him,
Upon me be thy curse, my son:
only obey my voice,
and go fetch me them.

Gen 27:14 And he went,
and fetched,
and brought them to his mother:

such as his father loved.

Gen 30:14 And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest,
and found mandrakes in the field,
and brought them unto his mother Leah.
Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me,
I pray thee,
of thy son’s mandrakes.

Gen 32:11 Deliver me,
I pray thee,
from the hand of my brother,
from the hand of Esau: for I fear him,
lest he will come and smite me,
and the mother with the children.

Gen 37:10 And he told it to his father,
and to his brethren:
and his father rebuked him,
and said unto him,
What is this dream that thou hast dreamed?
Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren
indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

Lev 20:9 For every one that curseth his father or his mother
shall be surely put to death:
he hath cursed his father or his mother;
his blood shall be upon him.

Num 26:59 And the name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed,
the daughter of Levi,
whom her mother bare to Levi in Egypt:
and she bare unto Amram
Aaron and Moses,
and Miriam their sister.

Deu 21:13 And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her,
and shall remain in thine house,
and bewail her father
and her mother a full month:

Deu 21:19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him,

Jdg 5:7 The inhabitants of the villages ceased,
they ceased in Israel,
until that I Deborah arose,
that I arose a mother in Israel.

Jdg 5:28 The mother of Sisera looked out at a window,
and cried through the lattice,
Why is his chariot so long in coming?
why tarry the wheels of his chariots?

Jdg 14:3 Then his father and his mother said unto him,
Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren,

for she pleaseth me well.

and he rent him as he would have rent a kid,

or his mother what he had done.

The eleven hundred shekels of silver
that were taken from thee,
about which thou cursedst,
and spakest of also in mine ears, behold,
the silver is with me; I took it.
And his mother said,
Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son.

Jdg 17:3 And when he had restored
the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother,
his mother said,
I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the LORD
from my hand for my son,
to make a graven image and a molten image:
now therefore I will restore it unto thee.

Jdg 17:4 Yet he restored the money unto his mother;
and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver,
and gave them to the founder,
who made thereof a graven image
and a molten image:
and they were in the house of Micah.

1Sa 2:19 Moreover his mother made him a little coat,
and brought it to him from year to year,
when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

1Sa 15:33 And Samuel said,
As thy sword hath made women childless,
so shall thy mother be childless among women.
And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.

2Sa 20:19 I am one of them that are peaceable and faithful in Israel:
thou seekest to destroy a city and a mother in Israel:

1Ki 1:6 And his father had not displeased him at any time in saying,
