Trust in – Who? Good? Bad? What? Why?


“Blessed  is that man that maketh the LORD his trust,
and respecteth not the proud,
nor such as turn aside to lies.” – Psa: 40:4

I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” -KJV, God gave me the following verses in the context of “Trust in”, from  The Holy Bible.

Jdg-9:15 And the bramble said unto the trees,
If in truth ye anoint me king over you,
then come and put your trust in my shadow:
and if not, let fire come out of the bramble,
and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

2Sa-22:31 As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the LORD is tried:
he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

2Ki-18:22 But if ye say unto me, We trust in the LORD our God:
is not that he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah hath taken away,
and hath said to Judah and Jerusalem,
Ye shall worship before this altar in Jerusalem?

2Ki-18:30 Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD,
saying, The LORD will surely deliver us,
and this city shall not be delivered
into the hand of the king of Assyria.

1Ch-5:20 And they were helped against them,
and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand,
and all that were with them:
for they cried to God in the battle,
and he was intreated of them;
because they put their trust in him.

Job-4:18 Behold, he put no trust in his servants;
and his angels he charged with folly:

19. How much less  in them that dwell in houses of clay,
whose foundation  is in the dust,
which are crushed before the moth?

Job-13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him:
but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Job-15:15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints;
yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

Job-15:31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity:
for vanity shall be his recompence.

Psa-2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry,
and ye perish from the way,
when his wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Psa-4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,
and put your trust in the LORD.

Psa-5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice:
let them ever shout for joy,
because thou defendest them:
let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Psa-9:10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee:
for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Psa-18:30 As for God, his way is perfect:
the word of the LORD is tried:
he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Psa-20:7 Some trust in chariots,
and some in horses:
but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Psa-25:2 O my God, I trust in thee:
let me not be ashamed,
let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Psa-25:20 O keep my soul,
and deliver me:
let me not be ashamed;
for I put my trust in thee.

Psa-31:6 I have hated them
that regard lying vanities:
but I trust in the LORD.

Psa-31:19 Oh how great is thy goodness,
which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee;
which thou hast wrought for them
that trust in thee before the sons of men!

Psa-34:22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants:
and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

Psa-37:3 Trust in the LORD,
and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land,
and verily thou shalt be fed.

Psa-37:40 And the LORD shall help them,
and deliver them:
he shall deliver them from the wicked,
and save them,
because they trust in him.

Psa-40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth,
even praise unto our God:
many shall see it,
and fear,
and shall trust in the LORD.

Psa-44:6 For I will not trust in my bow,
neither shall my sword save me.

Psa-49:6 They that trust in their wealth,
and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

7. None  of them can by any means redeem his brother,
nor give to God a ransom for him:
8. (For the redemption of their soul  is precious,
and it ceaseth for ever:)
9. That he should still live for ever,
and not see corruption.

Psa-52:8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God:
I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.

Psa-55:23 But thou, O God, shalt bring them down
into the pit of destruction:
bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days;
but I will trust in thee.

Psa-56:3 What time I am afraid,
I will trust in thee.

Psa-61:4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever:
I will trust in the covert of thy wings.

Psa-62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people,
pour out your heart before him:
God is a refuge for us.

Psa-64:10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD,
and shall trust in him;
and all the upright in heart shall glory.

Psa-73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God:
I have put my trust in the Lord GOD,
that I may declare all thy works.

Psa-115:10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD:
he is their help and their shield.

Psa-115:11 Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD:
he is their help and their shield.

Psa-118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD
than to put confidence in man.

Psa-118:9 It is better to trust in the LORD
than to put confidence in princes.

Psa-119:42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him
that reproacheth me:
for I trust in thy word.

Psa-125:1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion,
which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

Psa-146:3 Put not your trust in princes,
nor in the son of man,
in whom there is no help.

Pro-3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Pro-28:25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife:
but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.

Pro-29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

Pro-30:5 Every word of God is pure:
he is a shield unto them
that put their trust in him.

Pro-31:11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her,
so that he shall have no need of spoil.

Isa-14:32 What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation?
That the LORD hath founded Zion,
and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

Isa-30:2 That walk to go down into Egypt,
and have not asked at my mouth;
to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh,
and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!

Isa-30:3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame,
and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

Isa-30:12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel,
Because ye despise this word,
and trust in oppression and perverseness,
and stay thereon:

and trust in chariots,
because they are many;
and in horsemen,
because they are very strong;
but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel,
neither seek the LORD!

Isa-36:6 Lo, thou trustest in the staff of this broken reed, on Egypt;
whereon if a man lean,
it will go into his hand, and pierce it:
so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that trust in him.

Isa-36:7 But if thou say to me, We trust in the LORD our God:
is it not he,

and stay upon his God.

Isa-57:13 When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee;
but the wind shall carry them all away;
vanity shall take them:
but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land,
and shall inherit my holy mountain;

14. And shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye up,
prepare the way,
take up the stumblingblock out of the way of my people.

Isa-59:4 None calleth for justice,
nor any pleadeth for truth:
theytrust in vanity, and speak lies;
they conceive mischief,
and bring forth iniquity.

Jer-7:8 Behold, ye trust in lying words,
that cannot profit.

Jer-28:15 Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet,
Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee;
but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

Jer-29:31 Send to all them of the captivity, saying,
Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite;
Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you,
and I sent him not,
and he caused you to trust in a lie:

32. Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold,
I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed:
he shall not have a man to dwell among this people;
neither shall he behold the good
that I will do for my people, saith the LORD;
because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.

Jer-39:18 For I will surely deliver thee,
and thou shalt not fall by the sword,
but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee:
because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD.

Jer-46:25 The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith;
Behold, I will punish the multitude of No,
and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods,
and their kings; even Pharaoh,
and all them that trust in him:

26. And I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives,
and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon,
and into the hand of his servants:
and afterward it shall be inhabited,
as in the days of old, saith the LORD.

Eze-16:15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty,
and playedst the harlot because of thy renown,
and pouredst out thy fornications
on every one that passed by; his it was.

Hos-10:13 Ye have plowed wickedness,
ye have reaped iniquity;
ye have eaten the fruit of lies:
because thou didst trust in thy way,
in the multitude of thy mighty men.

Amo-6:1 Woe to them that are at ease in Zion,
and trust in the mountain of Samaria,
which are named chief of the nations,
to whom the house of Israel came!

Nah-1:7 The LORD is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Zep-3:12 I will also leave in the midst of thee
an afflicted and poor people,
and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.

Mar-10:24 And the disciples were astonished at his words.
But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them,
Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches
to enter into the kingdom of God!

2Co-1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves,
that we should not trust in ourselves,
but in God which raiseth the dead:

Phi-2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you,
that I also may be of good comfort,
when I know your state.

Phi-2:24 But I trust in the Lord
that I also myself shall come shortly.

Phi-3:4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh.
If any other man thinketh that he hath
whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

20. For I have no man likeminded,
who will naturally care for your state.
21. For all seek their own,
not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.

1Ti-4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach,
because we trust in the living God,
who is the Saviour of all men,
specially of those that believe.

1Ti-6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world,
that they be not highminded,
nor trust in uncertain riches,
but in the living God,
who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

18. That they do good,
that they be rich in good works,
ready to distribute,
willing to communicate;
19. Laying up in store for themselves
a good foundation against the time to come,
that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Heb-2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him.
And again, Behold I and the children
which God hath given me.
