I am no preacher, but, am a prime sinner and living in this world in HIS mercy. For a sinner like me too, when I read “The Holy Bible” KJV, the following verses were given in the context of “Retire”.

Jdg 20:39 And when the men of Israel retired in the battle,
Benjamin began to smite
and kill of the men of Israel about thirty persons:
for they said, Surely they are smitten down before us,
as in the first battle.

2Sa 11:15 And he wrote in the letter, saying,
Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle,
and retire ye from him,
that he may be smitten, and die.

2Sa 20:22 Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom.
And they cut off the head of Sheba the son of Bichri,
and cast it out to Joab.
And he blew a trumpet,
and they retired from the city,
every man to his tent.
And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the king.
